Custom Craft
Custom craft shutters are our budget range of shutters that come as completed assembled panel, with all hardware attached, ready to install. A unique combination of ecologically friendly plantation timber and a highly durable patented Polypropylene coating creates a high performance and durable shutter. The engineered stiles are reinforced with a Basswood LVL insert for strength.
An affordable price shutter, which comes with a highly durable coating that resists scratching, denting & fading and the medium density fibre board that resists warping and bowing, Custom Craft is made from MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard). It has a vacuum sealed vinyl coating, which makes it extremely hard wearing and strong. These shutters come with our normal 3 year warranty on materials and workmanship.
Custom Craft Shutter can be manufacture and delivered normally within 5-6 weeks from date of order. Not recommended to be used in high moisture areas such as a bathroom or ensuite.
Specifications of Custom Craft Shutters
- 3 Blade sizes available 63mm, 89mm & 114mm in an Aero Foil Blade
- 3 Standard finish’s available, Silk White, Pearl & Bisque
- 3 Rotation types available, Centre Rotation, Offset Rotation and Clearview Rotation. Also known as Hidden or Concealed rotation
- Several standard Frames for fixing the shutters to different situations.
- Maximum single panel width is 750mm for all blade sizes. Double shutter with centre stile 1200mm.
- Maximum panel height is 3000mm.
- Hinged bi-fold maximum individual panel with is 450mm, maximum opening is 1812mm.
- Track bi-fold maximum individual panel width is 600mm. Maximum panels recommend in 1 direction is 4 panels, for easy operation. More panels are ok. Bottom track is required.
- Shutters can be joined for sliding to create double shutter. Maximum width 1500mm.
- All shutters priced by the square metre. No price changes for any of the different blade sizes, colours or rotation types or the number of panels in an opening. Any frames or standard hardware is included in the normal costing. Additional cost is charged for freight, pelmets & tracking for track bi-folding and sliding shutters.
Installation Methods
- Fixed in place, mainly used in a void or opening in a wall. See picture of fixed shutters in use.
- Hinged as single or paired shutters, used mainly on a window. See picture of hinged shutters in use.
- Hinged bi-fold, where 1 shutter is hinged off another shutter and bi-folding to 1 side or both sides of the opening. See picture of hinged bi-fold shutters in use.
- Track bi-folding where multiple shutters, with the use of a tracking and pelmet system, are able to bi-fold the 1 or both direction, mainly used on a sliding door or as a room divider. See picture of track bi-folding shutters in use.
- Track sliding. Used to slide shutters. Normally a pelmet and track is used to slide shutters in different directions. Used mainly on a sliding door. Shutters can slide with either the blades open or closed, depending on situation. See picture of sliding shutters.
